Another list of human stories is used as warnings -- don't do what these people did. So if your story ever gets in one of these books, make sure they use it as an example, not a warning.

  • Bigger Picture – A man kneels down and askes God to protect him. He starts to walk and suddenly a pebble hits him in the back of the head, another small stone hits his back. He yells to God, "Why? Why are you not helping me?" He turns and sees God standing as a sheild holding back an avalanche of stones, rocks, and boulders. God looks over his shoulder and says, "Sorry, a couple slipped by." Don't ask why of Gods grace. Look at the big picture and be thankful for the stuff that didn't hit you.

  • Footsteps In The Sand
One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the LORD. Across the sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene, he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand: one belonging to him, and the other to the LORD. When the last scene of his life flashed before him he looked back, at the footprints in the sand. He noticed that many times along the path of his life there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times of his life. This really bothered him and he questioned the LORD about it: "LORD, you said that once I decided to follow you, you'd walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that during the most troubled times in my life there is only one set of footprints. I don't understand why when I needed you most you would leave me." The LORD replied: "My son, My precious child, I love you and I would never leave you, During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you."

  • In God's eyes, how much you make, how much you have, and how much you do is irrelevant. In God's eyes, who you are and what you are worth begins and ends with your intentions, your pure thoughts, your acts of kindness, and your love for all. In God's eyes, what you do for yourself pales in comparison to what you do for others. In God's eyes, your entire being consists of your heart, your head, your hands, and how you use each to show love for others. So, the question of the morning: Are you living your life in God's eyes?
