  • The head angel asked, `God, you're on your sixth day of working overtime. I've seen your blue prints, this is an incredible accomplishment and very complicated. Shouldn't you stop for today and begin again tomorrow?'

`I'm so excited with this one,' said God. `Can you believe what women can do: Women have to be completely washable, but not plastic, have over 200 movable parts, most replaceable and able to run on diet coke and leftovers. They have a lap that can hold four children at one time and do everything with only two hands. They can work 18 hour days juggling work and home. They are able to think, reason, and negotiate. They smile when they want to scream. They sing when they want to cry. They cry when they are happy and laugh when they are nervous. They fight for what they believe in. They stand up to injustice. They don't take "no" for an answer when they believe there is a better solution. They go without so their family can have. They go to the doctor with a frightened friend. They love unconditionally. They cry when their children excel and cheer when their friends get awards. They are happy when they hear about a birth or a wedding. Their hearts break when a friend dies. They grieve at the loss of a family member, yet they are strong when they think there is no strength left. They know that a hug and a kiss can heal a scraped knee and broken heart. They heal themselves when they are sick or sad. Women come in all shapes, sizes and colors. They'll drive, fly, walk, run or e-mail you to show how much they care about you. The heart of a woman is what makes the world keep turning. They bring joy, hope and love. They have compassion and ideals. They give moral support to their family and friends. Women have vital things to say and everything to give. HOWEVER, IF THERE IS ONE FLAW IN WOMEN, IT IS THAT THEY FORGET THEIR SELF WORTH.'

  • Moms are different as snowflakes. They come in different sizes and shapes with different colors and callings at different ages and abilities sporting different personalities and preferences. Moms are very different, and also very much alike. Moms have been known to applaud, aggravate, correct, console, pamper, polish, scold and snuggle their offspring all within a matter of moments. And most of all, moms have been known to love without reserve, and show it with their HEADS, HANDS, AND HEARTS.

  • A Mother like ours is more than a memory. She is a living presence…in your breath, your nurturing, your thought. You will hear her wisdom escaping your mouth. Your Mother is always with you. She's the whisper of the leaves as you walk down the street; she's the smell of soap in your freshly cleaned laundry; she's the cool hand on your brow when you're not well. Your Mother lives inside your laughter. And she's crystallized in every tear drop. She's the place you came from, your first home; and she's the map you follow with every step you take. She's your first love and your first heartbreak, and nothing on Earth can separate you. Not time, not space …not even death!
