Any party or celebration, such as a
birthday,
wedding,
baby shower, graduation, etc.
Or you might just be baking a cake.
-
God is great, gives us chocolate cake.
- adapted from a Bill Cosby routine
-

-
It's a piece of cake
-
Let them eat cake!
This is often attributed to Marie Antoinette,
but the phrase predates her,
and it's not clear that she ever said it at all.
At the time, cake was not a sugary dessert,
but a mistranslation of brioche,
a form of French bread enriched with eggs and butter.
The phrase did not originally express indifference to the plight of the poor,
but it acquired these negative connotations (somewhat like trickle down economics)
throughout the 1780's, leading up to the French Revolution.
-
So many candles - so little cake
-
That's just icing on the cake!
-
You can't have your cake and eat it too.
This is similar to cake above, and presents and bows below.
Any party is fair game.
In addition, balloons can be placed over the heads of people, as though they are talking.
In fact this construct is called a "balloon" in the cartooning business.
-
Friends are like balloons; once you let them go, you might not get them back.
-
That went over like a lead balloon.
(balloon at the bottom of the page)
-
Up up and away in my beautiful balloon.
-
Watch out for the balloon payments!
(a new car, or anything else expensive)
Birthday, christmas,
graduation, wedding,
baby shower - the usual suspects.
-
All of these presents are for me?
-
All present and accounted for.
-
Always present in the heart, untouched by passing years.
-
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above.
- James 1:17
-
Friends are a gift that is heaven sent.

Use bows for any gift giving occasion, as described above.
A bow can also accompany a
young girl.
Check the weather for rainy day sayings.
Umbrellas also indicate wedding or baby showers.
-
Let a smile be your umbrella.
-
Showers of blessings
Obviously this applies to anything on the
angel page,
but it may also refer to a baby,
or a young girl,
or Christmas.
