  • Baby Facts:
Between birth and age 2 an infant will quadruple in size.
At birth, a baby's brain is 10 percent of her total baby weight (an adult's is 2%)
With in 45 hours of birth, a newborn knows her own mother by her smell.
(Blindfolded in a room with other babies, a mother can identify her own child by scent alone.)
Human babies are the only primates to smile at their parents.
At birth babies have the natural movement for swimming.
A newborn has feet that are one third of their adult foot length.
By age one, they are nearly half their adult size.

  • A baby is a bit of star dust blown from the hand of God! (gold glitter pen on black)

  • A baby is cuddles and tickles on toes,
The sweet scent of powder, a kiss on the nose!
A baby is teddy bears, rattles, powder and pins,
bottles at midnight, giggles and grins.

They grow up so fast, in the blink of an eye,
They're sitting up and on their feet, then they're biking by.
A baby is your baby forever and a day,
Even if they're gone, they're in your heart to stay.
